Jodie Marsh shot to fame in ITV’s Essex Wives, a TV show which followed her family around Essex. She quickly became a newspaper favourite, appearing on the front pages time and time again. She featured on Page 3 and made the leap over to Lads mags, having appeared in FHM, Front, Loaded, GQ and ending up as the glamour model with the most ever front covers of Zoo magazine. She wrote her own best-selling autobiography ‘Keeping it Real’ in 2005 and appeared in many different TV shows, some examples being: Celebrity Big Brother, Celebrity Come Dine With Me (which she won), Channel 4’s The Games, E4’s Fool Around with Jodie Marsh (twice, which she won both times), The Weakest Link (celebrity version, which she won), MTV Cribs, The All Star Talent show (which she won her episode of with an American Smooth ballroom dance), Jodie Marsh: Who’ll Take her up the Aisle and Jodie Marsh Laid Bare.
More about Jodie
In 2011 Jodie competed in her first bodybuilding competition and in 2012 she went on to win in America and became the INBF (International Natural Bodybuilding Federation) champion. She did this using her own brand of supplements and protein (JSTNUTRITION.com) which she developed and formulated. Also in 2011 Jodie made her first documentary about bullying ‘Jodie Marsh: My Secret Past’ for Channel 5. This was so successful that they immediately commissioned two more documentaries about bullying ‘Jodie Marsh: Bullied’ (a two-part mini series), which took her stateside to also look at school shootings. After the success of both her Bullying documentaries and her bodybuilding ones (Jodie Marsh Bodybuilder and Jodie Marsh Brawn in the USA), TLC snapped her up and she has made to date 16 investigative documentaries for TLC about everything from child sex trafficking to drugs, to prisons and prostitution (these are available on Itunes).
Campaigning
A very active anti-bullying campaigner and is also an ambassador for The Being Me Campaign (a non-profit charity which aims to eradicate bullying for good). Jodie is a huge animal lover and currently has ten animals, most of which are rescued. Jodie also campaigns a lot against puppy farming. She’s a strict vegetarian and has been since she was 5 years old. Jodie rides motorbikes and counts her Harley Davidsons as her favourite things (after her animals).
Writing and Media
Jodie is a keen writer and currently has a column in Closer Magazine online. Jodie boasts over 2.3 million followers across her social media channels, a video of her shooting for Playboy has had over 64,000,000 views on YouTube and an advert for her bodybuilding TV show has had over 8,000,000 views. She has recently set up her own YouTube channel which has had 852,000 views so far and her new favourite thing is to interview celebrities in her bed (Keith Lemon and Katie Hopkins being her first two guests).
